David Williams

David Glenn Williams, 70, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away October 27, 2015. He was born May 23, 1945 in Benton, Arkansas to the late Herbert and Gladys Wright Williams.
David served in the United States Army from 1967 - 1984 in "The First Team," 1st Calvary Division, which was the first Airmobile Division, leading Calvary traditions to the new air assault concept of the United States Army. David was a member of Fairplay Missionary Baptist Church and the VFW.
Preceding him in death are his parents; daughter, Cassandra Fooks; sister, Delora Jean Williams; brother, Robert Thomas Williams; and grandparents, Greene and Hettie Williams and Earl Brown and Ora Brown.
David is survived by his loving wife, Connie Williams; four daughters, Chelli Caple, Judi Ann Pate and husband Jason, Melissa Davis and husband Terry, and Glenda Diamond and husband Jimmy; sixteen grandchildren; one sister, Carolyn Beck; and many family members and friends who loved David and will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 -7:00 P.M., Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas 72015. Private burial to be held at Fairplay Cemetery.
