David "Frankenstein" Smith

David “Frankenstein” Smith, age 62, of Amity, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021.

He was born on December 15, 1958, in Ashdown, the son of Vernon Andy Smith and Alice Ellen Garrett Smith. He was preceded in death by his father. On November 15, 1991, he was married to Teresa Darlene Welch.

David was a retired truck driver who enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved playing with his grandbabies.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Smith of Amity; four children, Stephanie Davis of De Queen, Rusty Smith of Mobile, Alabama, Michael Cates and Cody Smith, both of Amity; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his mother, Alice Smith of Texarkana, Arkansas; his brother, Robert Smith of Texarkana, Arkansas; three sisters, Mary Jordan of San Rafael, New Mexico, Marsha Kenyon of Foreman and Brenda Roberts of Texarkana, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 1, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Eric Wehunt officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Jones Cemetery in Amity.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Welch, Albert Welch, Josh Franklin, Harley Chambers, Mike McCann and Chad Stenerodden.
