David Hardy Faulkner, age 86, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 1, 2022.
David served in the United States Army as a Medical Specialist from February 1960 through November 1964. David was a member of Gold Creek Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas for about 30 years until he moved to Ward, then moved his membership to Cocklebur Baptist Church with his family. David read and studied his Bible faithfully each morning while drinking his coffee and eating his honey bun. He loved studying about the end times of the world and then what Heaven would be like. He looked so very forward to and often talked about going to Heaven to be with his wife, Mae, or “Momma” as he called her, and the rest of his family who had gone on before him.
David Pa and Granny Dude (as their family knew them) both loved to deer hunt and fish. They enjoyed 52 years of marriage, hunting “down home” in Delight and fishing at Lake Conway or maybe in Ronnie’s ponds together.
David Pa was the baby of thirteen children. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gussie and Hardy Faulkner and eleven brothers and sisters. He is survived by one sister, Frankie Williams of Delight, Arkansas who he faithfully called every morning at 5:50 AM sharp! He is also survived by his stepchildren Frances Eads (Richard) of Ward, Charlotte Guyot of Heber Springs, and Ronnie Guyot (Cindy) of Ward, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Graveside service will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Sylvania Cemetery, with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m.
