David Bagby Eberdt died February 7, 2008. He was born in Lake Village, Arkansas to Frank Wilson Eberdt and Louise Bagby Eberdt. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Kyle Eberdt; a daughter, Sheri Dreier and husband, Bob of Beverly, Massachusetts; a son, Gregory, his wife Minell and their son, Kyle; a daughter, Kimberly Edmonds and husband, Bobby and one brother, Frank Wilson Eberdt, Jr., all of Little Rock, Arkansas.
David was an active member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, with great love for the Choir and music. He was founding Director of the Arkansas Crime Information Center, serving under six Governors. He retired in 2002 after 30 years. During his career of public service, he was instrumental in promoting the early exchange of criminal records between the states. He was twice elected president of the National Law Enforcement Telecommunication System and unanimously elected to the NLETS Hall of Fame.
A Celebration of David's life will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 1000 N. Mississippi in Little Rock on Wednesday, February 13 at 5:30 p.m., officiated by Rev. Carey Stone. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any gifts be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church Music Fund or the UAMS Cancer Research Center.
