Dave Oberhoffer

Dave Oberhoffer, age 53, of Glenwood, died Thursday, October 13, 2011. He was born on August 14, 1958, at Minneapolis, Minnesota. On June 16, 1989, he was married to Sylvia Subia. He was preceded in death by his father, John Paul Oberhoffer and his grandmother, Lena Davidson. He was a former employee of Bean Transport for twenty-two years. He was a member of the Midweek Men's Bowling League in Hot Springs and was named to the Bowling Hall of Fame in St. Louis, Missouri. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Oberhoffer of Glenwood; his daughter, Erica Oberhoffer Weatherford of Glenwood; his step-daughter, Kathy Torres of Odessa, Texas; six grandchildren, Kacee, Clay, Allen, Cole, Carsyn and Chera; two great-grandchildren, Trent and Ali; his mother, Diane Oberhoffer of Galesburg, Illinois; his sister, Doni Arkeilpane of Galesburg, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 17, 2011, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Rev. J. B. Evans officiating.
