Daryl Cook

Daryl Cook, age 70, of Daisy, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

He was born on May 28, 1951, in Daisy, the son of Winford Cleo Cook and Arline Jones Cook. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy Cook; his parents; his brother, Steve Cook; and the mother of his children, Sherry Bennett Cook.

Daryl worked for many years in construction as a carpenter and electrician. He enjoyed visiting with his buddies, fishing and hunting, was an avid outdoorsman and also enjoyed dancing. Daryl’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored and loved with all his heart. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and while our hearts are broken and shattered today, we find great peace in knowing we will see our precious Daddy and Grandpa again someday when we are all together in our heavenly home.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Shannon Cook of Powell, Wyoming; his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Roger Cogburn of Daisy; his four grandchildren, Baylie Cook, Katelyn Cook, Austin Cook and Ava Cogburn; numerous extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 2, 2021, in the Daisy Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Kevin Jewell officiating

Visitation will be held Wednesday, 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood.

Interment will be in the Mount Joy Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tim Trout, Jim Faggion, Keith Helms, Ambree Reed, Richard Howard and Jason Tipton.
