Darryl Wayne Crossen

Darryl Wayne Crossen, fondly known as “Papa,” passed away suddenly on June 1, 2023, at the age of fifty-four. Darryl was born and raised in Wynne, Arkansas, later  creating a  home in Beebe, Arkansas, where he remained for the past twenty-five years.

He is survived by his wife Chris, stepchildren Jason and Brandi (husband Lee), beloved grandchildren Ashton, Adia, DaCotah, Hadlie, Haylee, Hayden, and Hayzel, and brother Tracy (spouse Vicky). Among the family remain several close cousins, aunts, uncles, and his best friend Todd (wife Jodi).

Darryl was more than just a husband, stepfather, papa, brother, or friend. He was a top tier comedian, handyman (with the help of Google), avid fisherman and hunter, “pro” golfer, Arkansas Razorback sports enthusiast, skilled chef, adventurist and a Christian.  Despite his fight against lung cancer for the past four years, he remained bright and hopeful, never failing to share his joy and humor with company.  He is loved beyond words, cherished beyond memories, and missed beyond belief.

To those close family and friends that wish to pay their respects, the family led Memorial Service will be held June 24th at the McRae Community Center in White County, Arkansas.  We ask those that knew him well to keep Darryl and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Arrangements by Smith Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W Dewitt Henry Drive, Beebe, Arkansas 72012.  View the online register at www.smithfamilycares.com/westbrook.
