Darrell Odom

Darrell Odom, 73, of Sherwood passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015. He was born July 26, 1941 in McCrory, Arkansas to the late Louis and Virginia Robinson Odom. He was a member of Central Baptist Church; and had formerly served as Sunday School Superintendent at Wynne Church of God where he played bass guitar for 20 years. He was a Butcher for 13 years, new home builder, and owner of Cabot Motor Company and automobile dealer for 37 years. Darrell was an honest and fair man of integrity. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kaye Shue Odom; daughters, Shari and Clarence Robinson, Lisa and Jerry Siever, Tonya McDaniel and Jackie Odom; grandchildren, Marisa Grubbs (Tyler), Brittany Robinson (Cody Elrod), Megan Siever, Bradley Robinson, Traliqua McDaniel, Trayvius McDaniel and Timothy McDaniel; great-grandson, Grayson Grubbs; sister, Sue Hirons (Ronnie); brother, David Odom (Susan), mother-in-law, Opal Shue; sister-in-law, Betty Odom; three nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Fred Odom.
Memorials may be made to Easter Seals of Arkansas, 3920 Woodland Heights Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72212.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, July 24, 2015 at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral will be Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Central Baptist Church, 5200 Fairway Ave., North Little Rock. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM at Pumpkin Bend Cemetery, McCrory.
