Danny C. Williams, 57, of Rosboro, died November 29, 2007, in Moscow, Russia.He was born December 9, 1949, in Arkadelphia, a son of Joe Allen and Modine Wilson Williams. He was a member of Bethsaida Church of Christ. He was a graduate of Amity High School.
He was employed as a Senior Construction Manager for Washington Group International. Mr. Williams had worked for 28 years in construction management for Fluor Incorporated. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling, meeting new people, and the challenges of his job. Mr. Williams loved to tell a good story and was known for his big heart.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his father and his first wife, the mother of his children, Robin Meeks Williams. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Robbins Williams of the home; one son, Joseph M. Williams of Rosboro; three daughters, Stephanie Voss of Gilchrist, TX; Connie Weir of Cabot; Sheri Courtney of Benton; his mother of Rosboro; one brother, James A. Williams of Gunter, TX; one sister, Vivian Garner of Carrollton, TX; two grandsons Mitchell Friend of Gilchrist, TX, and Dustin Coleman of Kirbyville, TX; a number of nephews and nieces, and many friends from around the country and the world.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2 until 4 p.m. at the funeral home located at 517 Clay Street in Arkadelphia.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 10, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Arkadelphia, AR, with Brother Wallace Alexander and Brother Johnny McAnally officiating. Burial will be in Bethsaida Cemetery by Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Don Collins, Chris Jones, Randy Rome, Sonny Webb, Mitchell Friend, Dustin Coleman, Jason Garner, Barry Williams, Bill Butler, and Craig Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Gould, Rick Moore, Joe Perry, Marvin Munn, Steve Mault, Ty Ankrom, and Tommy McKee.
