Danny W. Holcombe

Danny W. Holcombe, age 72, of Amity, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.

He was born on June 19, 1949, in Amity, the son of Grover Lee Holcombe and Vina Beatrice Mitchell Holcombe. On July 5, 1988, he was married to Gayla Kay Nobles. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Danny was always a hard worker, never met a stranger and would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a passion for driving fast cars and fast boats, he just had that fearless personality. His greatest joy in life was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored. Danny will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife Gayla Holcombe of Amity; his three sons and two daughters-in-law, Anthony and Mindy Holcombe of Glenwood, Brett Holcombe of Amity, and Dustin and Jennifer Holcombe of Hot Springs; his grandchildren and their spouses, Daniel and Catherine Holcombe, Cody and Savanna Holcombe, Dylan and Charley Holcombe, Teddy Holcombe and Lane Holcombe; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Patsy Burke of Hot Springs, Theresa Hancock of Springdale and Joyce Osborne of Amity; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 12, 2022, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Bro. John McAnally officiating.

Visitation will be held Saturday, 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, prior to the services.

Interment will be in the Jones Cemetery in Amity.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Holcombe, Cody Holcombe, Dylan Holcombe, Teddy Holcombe, Zach Main and Kirklin Main.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lenon Main and the nurses and staff of Kindred Hospice.
