Danny Lee Edwards, 66, of North Little Rock passed away Monday, July 25, 2011. He was of the Baptist faith. He was fleet manager for the City of Little Rock, former member of Demolay Jennie B. Hopkins Masonic Lodge #56, the Lion's Club International and Elks Lodge of North Little Rock. Danny was a track official at the #1 turn at I-30 Speedway for decades. He was quick witted and a mentor to many young people who loved working on cars.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janice Turley Edwards, of North Little Rock; three daughters, Dana M. Tedford (Ted) of Cabot, Shelley Edwards of North Carolina and Kimberley Davison of North Little Rock; grandchildren, Nicholas Tedford, Samuel Tedford, Kailey Dickerson and Sierra Davison; sisters, Alice Housley (Jack) of Searcy and Beverley McConnell (Russell) of Bryant and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Maysel Edwards.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice Home Care, especially Lutzia and Lynette, Dr. John Watkins, Dr. Randy Jordan, Dr. Marion Harrington and Baptist Health Medical Center, 10A, Little Rock.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
