Daniel Sarna

Daniel C. Sarna was born September 12, 1926 in North Little Rock, Arkansas the son of John C. and Annie (Stozek) Sarna. He passed away Thursday July 3, 2014 in North Little Rock at the age of 87 years, 9 months and 21 days. He served in the U.S. Naval Air Force as a tail gunner in a torpedo bomber. He was a member of the Polish Legion of American Veterans, Arkansas Pharmacist Association and St. Mary's Catholic Church and Men's Club. Danny liked hunting, fishing and traveling. Danny will be remembered most for his years of service to North Little Rock as owner and operator of Economy Pike Plaza Drug Store.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, John and Annie Sarna, brother, Clem Sarna, sister, Bridget Flake and his wife of forty years, Addie Lee Sarna. He is survived by two sons, Alan Sarna (Kathy) of North Little Rock and Paul Sarna of Texarkana, TX; two grandchildren, Aaron Sarna and Shelby Sarna; two sisters, Hilda Rodriguez and Rita Schnebelen and one brother Toby Sarna; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Catholic High School Scholarship Fund, 6300 Father Tribou St., Little Rock, Arkansas 72205 or St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1516 Parker North Little Rock, AR 72114.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Monday, July 7th at St. Mary's Catholic Church and burial will be in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery. Vistiation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday, July 6, 2014 at North Little Rock Funeral Home with Rosary at 6:00 pm.
