Daniel Alfred Munson, of Warren, formerly of North Little Rock, was welcomed to Heaven by his Lord and Savior Saturday, March 31, 2012.
"Al" as he was known to all, was born May 13, 1922, in Cabot to George and Bethany Munson.
Al retired from Safeway Warehouse. He was a World War II veteran, an accomplished fisherman and a proud member of Levy Baptist Church in North Little Rock, where he served as a deacon for many years.
Al was preceded in death by his parents George and Bethany, three brothers John, Earl and Burl Munson, his daughter Dana Anita Rowe and his beloved wife of more than 60 years Dorothy Faye.
He is survived by his daughters Deborah Faye (Doug) Spencer of Warren, Denise Beth (Barry) Foster of Rosebud and his son Daniel Jeffery of Mountain View. He is also survived by his grandchildren Mark (Kristy) Spencer, Cindy (Jason) Langston, Keli (Johnny) Woody, Lucas Rowe , Angie (Marc) Wimberly, Brandy King (Brian Stoltze), Daniel (Bonnie) Foster, Donald (Cheri) Foster, BJ Ellis and Joshua Munson and 15 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be his six grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers are Jason Langston, Johnny Woody, Marc Wimberly, Brian Stoltze, Dr. Kerry Pennington, Doyle Gates, Gene Evans and Tommy Burrow.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff at Wagnon Place Nursing home in Warren, where Al and Dorothy spent their last years and were cared for and loved like family.
Visitation will be at North Little Rock Funeral home on Tuesday, April 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Levy Baptist Church in North Little Rock Wednesday morning, April 4, at 10:30 a.m.
