Daniel Joseph Clark was born in Highland, MI on September 29th, 1952 and died unexpectedly in Sherwood, AR on December 1st, 2023. He grew up in Livonia, MI.
He was a lifetime devotee of Ford vehicles, had an almost photographic memory and loved new food adventures. His goal was to never have the same dish twice at any restaurant. He was astonishingly accomplished at this goal.
He was a fan of Wheel of Fortune, bourbons, trivia, the evening news, crossword puzzles, good conversation, golf, food flavors in general and chimichurri, in particular. He loved rock music, muscle cars (Ford of course) and trains. He was a 30-year employee of Union Pacific and a card-carrying member of the railroad union.
His greatest trait was his ability to love and care for others. He was what we in the south commonly refer to as a “good dude”.
Dan is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Brenda K. Clark of Sherwood, AR who he doted on. He is also survived by his sister, Pamela (Garrick) Smith, his children, Daniel (Vickie) Clark, Jennifer (Mark) FitzHenry, Ryan (Ashley) Clark and Creed (Megan) Poore, and 13 grandchildren. Dan was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Ruby Mae Clark.
Visitation will be held at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home on Main Street, 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, December 7, 2023. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on December 8, 2023 at Walnut Lake Cemetery in Pickens, AR.
