Daniel "Danny" Owen Forsythe, Jr., age 74, of Amity, finished his course on earth Thursday, January 14, 2016. He was born on November 19, 1941, in Rosboro, the son of Daniel Owen Forsythe, Sr. and Claudia Yow Forsythe. On August 29, 1959, he was married to Mary Looper. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Ronald Forsythe. He was a twenty-one year retiree from National Rejectors as a mold technician and also a sixteen year retiree from Engineered Specialty Plastics, both located in Hot Springs. After retirement, he worked in ministry full time at the Word of Faith Outreach in Amity, always keeping things maintained and beautiful, truly loving his work. He also enjoyed playing and listening to music, working with the Outreach animals, especially his horse, Lucy, and his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. Danny was a wonderful and devoted husband, dad, papa and friend to all, who will be deeply missed by his loved ones, but they will continue to cherish every memory they have of him in their hearts. The family stands strong knowing that he genuinely loved the Lord with all his heart, and because of this love, his reward now is great. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Forsythe of Amity, two sons and one daughter-in-law, Danny Forsythe of Miami, Florida and Jimmy and Debbie Forsythe of Amity; four grandchildren, Stephany Stokes and her husband, John, Dustin Forsythe, Daniel Forsythe and Rachel Forsythe; and one great-grandchild, Kylee Stokes.
