Daniel "Dan" Boone

Daniel Evans Boone, 73, of Cabot, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.  Dan was born August 7, 1949 in Hinsdale, Illinois. In 1967, he graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School. He went on to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering from Finley College. In 1988, he started his own company, The Pioneer Group, Inc., specializing in water and sewage treatment plant construction across the state of Arkansas. On May 26, 1979, he married the love of his life, Erna. On June 5, 1985 and June 16, 1988, he welcomed his two daughters. He was a hardworking man, who always put his family first. He enjoyed watching sports, especially cheering for his daughters at their numerous extracurricular activities.

Dan was predeceased by his parents Daniel and Betty Boone, and his brother Jay Boone. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Erna Boone; two daughters Alyson Ross and husband Wil; Courtney Branscum and husband Randy; and six grandchildren, Willie, Liliana, Jada, Elizabeth, Jordan, and Lennix.

Private family services will be held Monday September 19th. A friends and family drop in gathering will take place at the family residence in Cabot, on Sunday, September 18th from 2-4 pm.  Private entombment will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.  Arrangements by Smith Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
