Daniel Bowen
Daniel R. Bowen, 65, of North Little Rock died on Saturday, December 19, 2009. He was the owner of Mid-Ark Iron Works, one of the state's leading manufacturers of commercial and residential architectural and decorative metal products.
He is survived by his brother, David Bowen and wife, Tina, of Ann Arbor, Michigan; two sisters, Martha Ballentine and husband, Elton, of Little Rock and Mary Hardin and husband, Lu, of West Palm Beach, Florida; five nieces; four nephews; his dear friend, Joan Williams, of North Little Rock and a host of friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burness and Iris O'Neal Bowen; sister, Joanna Prentice and nephew, William Gill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pulaski County Humane Society, 14600 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72210 or Arkansas Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 2222, Little Rock, Arkansas 72203.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
