Danae Wells

Danae Erica Wells, 26, of Benton, Arkansas passed away December 23, 2021.  She was born August 16, 1995 in Wheatridge, Colorado to Dan and Monica (Hansen) Wells.

Danae was a very smart and driven young lady, full of love.  Everyone who met her instantly fell in love with her bright spirit and infectious smile.  Danae faced countless health adversities throughout her life.  She faced each new trial with strength, determination, and a smile that always lit up the room.  Even from a young age, Danae wanted to be a teacher and her love for children is what led her to become an amazing and beloved preschool teacher at the Benton Headstart. Family was everything to Danae and everyone knew there was no disputing she was "The Favorite"!  Danae was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  She graduated from Benton High School in 2013 and from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in education.  Danae always found the good in others and put others needs before her own.  She continued to give to others by the unselfish decision of being an organ donor.  She gave her all to God, her family and friends, her students, and to countless others.

She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Thurston Wells.

Left to cherish her memory, Danae leaves behind her parents, Dan and Monica Wells; sisters, Nicole Moore (James) and Malinda Wells (Bryce Golleher); brother, Wyatt Wells (Randi Lovell); three special nephews who were the light of her life:  Kenton, Kael, and Sawyer; grandparents:  Diann Wells, Kent Hansen, and Irene Eggenberger; and many family members and friends who love Dane and will miss her always.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, Friday, January 7, followed by funeral service at 11:00 AM, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Otter Creek, 13901 Quail Run Dr, Little Rock, AR 72210.  Burial following at Rosemont Cemetery.
