Dana E. Gilbert, 51, of Alexander, Arkansas went to be with her Lord October 27, 2016. She was born May 1, 1965 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to Ralph and Ilean Hafle.
Dana was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Friends in Christ Lutheran Church. Dana loved working with young children and was an early childhood education teacher at Avilla Christian Academy.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband, Arthur Gilbert of Alexander; sons, Sumner McLain and wife Afton of Hope and Tate Gilbert of Russellville; grandchildren, Harrison, Madeline, and Scarlet; four sisters, Karen Lemond and husband Russell of Little Rock, Sharon Shelton of Little Rock, Stacy Guthro and husband Joey of Cabot, and Carla McDonald and husband Rick of Missouri; and many more family members and friends who loved Dana and will miss her always.
Memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Friends in Christ Lutheran Church in Bryant. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Avilla Christian Academy Preschool, 302 Avilla East, Alexander, Arkansas 72002. Services entrusted to Smith-Benton Funeral Home.
