Dana Franklin Couch (DC), age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 2, 2023.

A celebration of life ceremony will take place on Tuesday, November 7 at Fellowship Bible Church (1401 Kirk Road, Little Rock). Visitation will begin at 9:00AM, followed by funeral services at 10:00AM. A separate visitation will be held at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home (8801 Knoedl Court, Little Rock) on Monday, November 6 from 6:00PM-8:00PM. Graveside services will follow immediately after at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery (3195 Hwy 10, Perryville).

Born on October 10, 1939, to Martha Ruth McDaniel and William Franklin Couch in Magnolia, Arkansas, DC would later graduate high school in 1957 from El Dorado High School where he eventually would join the Air Force. He spent many of his working years in the grocery business, occasionally venturing into ownership, including establishments like DC’s Hock and Shop.

A vibrant soul, DC found joy tending to his yard and cruising around in his beloved red Mazda Miata. His affection for animals was evident, and his friendly demeanor meant he never encountered a stranger.

He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Couch, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage along with his daughters, Nina Couch, Debbie (Martin) Bright, and Sara (Clint) Morrow; sons, Josh (Sheila) Boyette, Mark (Sue) Boyette, and Dee Boyette. He will be missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, friends and all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Martha and William Couch and his twin brother, Kyle Couch.
