Dan McNeill

Dan McNeill, 83, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2024, in Little Rock.

Dan was born Dec. 15, 1940, in Memphis, and was raised in Holly Grove, Ark.

Dan is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Ellen Bussell McNeill; his parents, D.A. Annie "Snooks" McNeill; and two sisters, Susie Sims Creed and Shirley Crawford.

He is survived by two daughters, Danyelle McNeill of Little Rock, and Michelle McNeill and son-in-law, Ron Jetton of Mayflower; and one granddaughter, Katelyn McCallister of Mayflower.

The family wants to thank Dan's three amazing caregivers, Katlin Halbert, Jimice Ford and Cynthia Nesbitt, for taking such good care of him.

Visitation is Saturday, Jan. 20, at 10:30 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Little Rock. The funeral will follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at Macedonia Cemetery in Holly Grove, Ark.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Dan's name to local humane societies or animal charities.
