Dale "Daddy Dale" Hare age 78 of Bryant, AR passed away Monday, January 14, 2008. He was born November 17, 1929 in Antoine, AR the son of the late Clyde and Pearl Osborn Hare. Dale was preceded in death by three sisters, Norris Thornton, Mary May, and Alma Hammell, and three brothers, Kenneth, Tommy and Milton Hare. Dale was a carpenter by trade having worked for St. Vincent Hospital for ten years and retired from the Little Rock School District after fifteen years. He served in the US Navy as a Corpsman and was a Purple Heart recipient in the Korean War. He is best remembered for his easy going personality and beautiful smile.
Survivors include his wife Winnie Hardaway Hare, two sons, Chad and his wife Ruthie of Bryant and Craig and his wife Melinda of Conway, three granddaughters, Brooke Bell, Caila and Haile Hare, one sister, Julia Perdue of Arkadelphia and a host of nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday in the Antoine United Methodist Church with Rev. Freeman Henderson and Rev. Jim Henderson officiating. Burial will be in the Antoine Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday evening at the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made to the Antoine United Methodist Church.
