Dahlia Ann Thompson, 71, of Ward went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 22, 2009. She was the owner of Dal's Upholstery in Minnesota, retired from AHEC in Ft. Smith, a member of New Life Church in Cabot and a graduate of Apostolic Bible Institute in St. Paul Minnesota.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Merlin Thompson, of Ward; daughters, Anita Wade and husband Randy, of Little Rock and Kim Carter and husband Tom, of North Little Rock; grandchildren, Sidney and Wyatt Carter and Savanna Wade; her sister, Marilyn Abbink, of Rolling Meadows, Illinois and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorens Simpson and Edna Skolaski.
A Celebration of her life will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday at New Life Church in Cabot. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time at church. Arrangements by North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.
