D.A. Shirley, 77, of North Little Rock, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2007. He was born October 25, 1929 in Humphrey, Arkansas to Andrew and Florence Coker Shirley. He was of the Baptist faith, worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad for ten years and retired from Carpenters Union Local 690.
He is survived by his son, Robert Shirley, of North Little Rock; daughter, Paula Finley, of Lepanto; three grandchildren, Clayton Finley and Meg Shirley Burns, both of North Little Rock, and Jeremy Finley, of Paragould; one great-grandchild, Alexandria Finley; brother, Woodrow Shirley, of Jacksonville; and sister, Dora Mae Western, of Salt Lake City, Utah. He was predeceased by his wife, Juanita; son, Allen; three sisters, Alma, Erma and Freda and two brothers, Charles and Jack.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Stanfill Cemetery.
