Cyril Kita

Cyril Valentine Kita, 84, of North Little Rock passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017. He was born January 16, 1932 in North Little Rock to John and Rose Bawiec Kita. He was a lifelong member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and honorary member of the Men's Club at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Cyril was retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 43 years and was a member of the BRC Union. He was a Korean War veteran served in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Cynthia Chudy Kita; children, Jeffrey Kita, Gary (Jayne Ann) Kita, Vicki (Greg) Biggs, Kristi Rhude, James Kita and Lisa (Dave) Harris; grandchildren, Michael, Katie, and Kevin Kita, Jessica and Stephen Creasy, Brandon and Brittnie Rhude and Travis and Blake Davis; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Arthur (Maggie) Kitta, Lucian (JoAnn) Kitta, and Edward (Irene) Kitta; and many nieces, nephews and extended family that will miss him. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Constance Kaplon.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 4th at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery. A Rosary visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday prior to service at the church. Arrangements by Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home.
