Cynthia "Cindy" Sanders Garrett

Cynthia Dawn Garrett, 65, of Little Rock, died April 16, 2021. Born Oct. 5, 1955, she was the daughter of Chester and Clairette Garrett.

Cindy graduated McClellan High School in 1974 and soon after married Jerry Worsencroft and had a son, Joseph Bradley “Brad” Worsencroft.

She worked numerous jobs over the years but enjoyed her time at Tom Hagan State Farm Insurance Agency and at the Little Rock School District, where she served as a secretary to the principal and as a school nurse.

Cindy’s faith and family meant much to her, and she was kind and generous with her time and talents, encouraging others to smile and enjoy life. She had recently moved to Searcy and had found a life partner in Michael Pobst. She will be greatly missed by many.

Cindy is survived by her son and his wife Tabetha of Vici, Okla.; her brother, Randy Garrett and wife Charlotte of Bryant; three grandchildren, Tristan DeVon and wife Briannon of Weatherford, Okla., Tatum Carey and husband Tyler of Burns Flat, Okla., and Timothy Worsencroft of Vici; a great-grandchild, Brynlee Carey, daughter of Tyler and Tatum Carey; three nieces, Becky Sullivan and husband David of Benton, Amy Wyles and husband Rick of Conway, and Bethany Taylor and husband Raymond of Bryant; a nephew, Jacob Garrett and wife Jaime of Vilonia; two cousins, Byron Tate and wife Pat of Pine Bluff, and Galen Tate of Bridgeport, Conn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Smith; her father and mother; her aunt and uncle, Janet and J.L. Tate; and a cousin, Stephen Tate.

Visitation will be at 9:00 AM, Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, with Funeral Service starting at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
