Cynthia Ann Rye

Cynthia Ann Rye, 74, of North Little Rock, formerly of Cabot, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the VA Hospital in Little Rock. She was born to the late Robert Edward Lafond, Sr. and Betty Jo (White) Lafond in Nuremberg, Germany while her father was stationed at Nuremberg. Cynthia is also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Jerrell Rye, and her two children, Jacqueline Parrish Sanders and Michael Lafond.

Cynthia was a veteran of the US Army and trained to be a Medical Corpsman, but a disabling injury set her life on a different path. Cynthia enjoyed sewing & crochet, loved her pets and enjoyed reading.

Cynthia is survived by her brother, Robert Lafond; sister, Mary Thompson; two step-daughters; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10 AM, Wednesday May 17, 2023, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W DeWitt Henry Dr, Beebe, AR 72012. Entombment will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
