Curtis C. Pettey, 85, of Bigelow, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2006. He was a retired truck driver, World War II Army veteran and a member of Wye United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Patsy Pettey of Bigelow; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dana and Larry Baker of Bigelow and Lanita and Mike Hammett of Houston; two brothers, John Pettey of Carthage, Missouri and Morris Pettey of North Little Rock; two sisters, Ann Synco of Stuttgart and Sue Fauth of Tucson, Arizona; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Pettey was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine (Armstrong) Pettey; daughter, Brenda Faye Pettey; and brother, Virgil Pettey.
