Crawford Wilson, age 81, of Amity, died Wednesday, July 27, 2011. He was born on August 21, 1929, at Amity, the son of Hosie Wilson and Arbell Allen Wilson. On August 27, 1948, he was married to Mary Guthrie. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Chris Thomason. He was a member of the Blessed On The Rock Church; the owner of Wilson's Mobile Service Station; and a farmer. He was a fireman for the Amity Volunteer Fire Department and served on the Amity City Council. Every Thursday he had his own seat at the Glenwood Sale Barn. He is survived by his wife, Mary Wilson of Amity; three daughters and one son-in-law, Pam and Tink Thomason of Amity, Adonna Wilson of Amity and Sandy Carloss of Norman; three grandchildren, Scott Thomason and his wife, Corey, Amanda Payte and her husband, Nick, and Brittney Carloss and her fianc, Loren Shanek; five great-grandchildren, Rachel, Faith and Anna Thomason, Rylan Payte and Alexis Shanek; one brother, Vester Wilson of Arkadelphia; two sisters, Ruth Helms and Christine Helms, both of Arkadelphia; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 29, 2011, in the Blessed On The Rock Church in Amity with Pam Thomason and Bro. Billy Thomason officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Jones Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Danny McGrew, Mark Cogburn, Landon Wilson, Frankie Wilson, Charles Sorrells and R. W. Davidson. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Short, Joey Guthrie, Rodney Cook, Don Kuykendall, Butch Sorters, John Cummins, Millard Aud and Harold Tankersley. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
