Cpl. Omans

Cpl. Marvin E. Omans, U.S. Army Company K, 3rd Battalion, 31st Regimental Combat Team, was lost on December 3, 1950 near the Sinhung-ri, North Korea, during the mission to secure an important road running along the east side of the Chosin Reservoir. As a result of the battle, Omans was reported missing in action, and due to no other information available at the time, was presumed to have been killed in action.As part of Operation Glory in 1954, the remains of many war dead were turned over to the United Nations for identification.Cpl.
