Coy Hardin, age 94 of Gum Springs Community died Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at the Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. He was born Dec. 14, 1911 in Bismarck, AR the son of the late Elmer Lee and Tessie Ethel Thornton Hardin. He was a retired cattle farmer and a retired employee of Reynolds Metal Co. He was a former member of the Board of Directors at Patterson Credit Union and Southern Farmers Association. He was a deacon and a member of the Gum Springs Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Brewer Hardin
Survivors include one son, Coy Wayne Hardin and his wife, Dorothy of Reisterstown, Maryland; one daughter, Renella Clemons and her husband, Harold of Wilson, AR; two sisters, Blanche Sterne of El Paso, TX and Betty Reagen of Odessa, TX; two grandchildren, Kairi Clemons of St. Louis and Brad Clemons of Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, Oct 12, 2006 in Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel with Bro. Kenneth Anderson officiating. Interment will be in the Richland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Gum Springs Missionary Baptist Church or First Baptist Church 1 Jackson St in Wilson, AR 72395.
