Coy Daugherty

Coy E. Daugherty, age 81, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away Friday, September 16, 2011. Coy retired from the Air Force as a Chief Master Sgt. and then worked for a Colorado School District for 20 years. Coy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend; he will be dearly missed. He loved the game of golf, and his dream was to play at St. Andrews in Scotland which he did after his retirement. Coy was a man who loved to joke and always had a smile on his face.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janet Daugherty; a son, Mark (Rhonda) Daugherty of Dallas; a daughter Lisa (Alex) Antonio of Dallas; grandchildren, Megan Rush, Lauren Rush, Jordan Williams, and Dustin Antonio. Coy is survived by one sister, Geneva Ball of Beebe; aunts Charlene Smith of Beebe, and Faye Jones of Jacksonville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milus and Merle Daugherty and his faithful dog, Jock.
Family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2011, at Westbrook Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Beebe Cemetery.
