Cora Juanita Herrin, age 80 of Bismarck died Tuesday, January 09, 2007 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct 16, 1926 in Bismarck, AR the daughter of the late Patrick Henry and Ola Mae Loy Thomas. She was a retired seamstress for Levi Strauss Co in Arkadelphia and a member of the DeRoche Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tilman Lester Herrin, one son, Robert Lee LaFont, one brother, Cecil Thomas and one granddaughter, Angela Marie Lowe.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann Mallette of Hot Springs and LaDonna Renee Lowe of Canton, GA; four brothers, Floyd Wilburn Thomas of Rison, Arlie W. Thomas of Jacksonville, Coy M. Thomas of Bismarck and H. Kenneth Thomas of Arkadelphia; five sisters, Amanda Oneta Coward , Margie Ozee Thomas and Athalee Myers all of Campti, LA, Dorothy Loraine Walker of Hot Springs and Trecia M. Herron of Arkadelphia; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, Jan 11, 2007 in Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel with Bro. Jeff Hill officiating. Interment will be in Old Bismarck Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Nephews will serve as Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Walker, Ricky Herrin, Wilburn Wilson, Dr. James Humphreys and staff.
