Connie Jane Quick, 68, of Arkadelphia went to be with Jesus February 14, 2017. Connie is
survived by her mother, Jane; sister, Carol Lane (Chuck), Hot Springs; nephew Charley Lane,
Waco; niece Catie (Ryan) Curtis, Ft. Smith; Aunt Joyce Crook; cousins Matt, Amy, Joel. Connie
was born in Waco, Texas September 6, 1948 to parents Jane and Randy Quick, who both enjoyed lifetime employment at OBU. Connie majored in Sociology under her beloved father. On the last day of class, she exclaimed, "Good bye, Prof! Hello, father!" After her graduation, Connie worked at The Children's Colony, UAMS Library, then the State of Arkansas, LR, retiring early due to her health. She lived independently her last 20 years, daily encouraged by her mother's loyal friendship and tender care. Our true friend, Tina, was Connie's "earth angel", advocate, friend, caregiver.
Connie valued family beyond measure. She adored her Lucy dog with whom she, Jane and Randy walked frequently. She daily spoke with Jesus, leaving nothing to imagination. Her noble tenacity for life prompted Poppa to call her his hero.
Connie was forever happy for others, never missing Charley and Catie's OM competitions. She thrilled at the births of her great nephews, Joshua, Nathan, Timothy Curtis. She was gracious, grateful, loving. Although we are grateful she is out of suffering, we will miss her rollicking laughter and sweet hugs which she loved.
Jane will miss her nightly calls that Connie ended saying, "Sleep with God and the angels!" Catie exclaimed! "Tonight, Aunt Connie will be sleeping with God and the angels!" Charley prayed, "Imagine the massive family of God Connie is loving and they are loving her right back! Imagine
the new revelations, how heaven is an eternal family reunion."
Our family gratefully acknowledges, appreciates our precious friends, however the graveside
service will be private. John McCallum will officiate and memorials may be made to charities of your choice.
