Connie Jones

Connie Jones, age 69, of Glenwood, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020.

She was born on January 15, 1951, in Norfolk, Virginia, the daughter of Eugene Battles and Lea Hunter Battles. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She enjoyed watching her birds, taking care of her roses, cooking for her family and will always be remembered for her making her famous baklava, which her family proudly claimed was the best in the world. Connie’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, whom she dearly loved, especially her precious grandchildren. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by two sons, Christopher Jones and his fiancée, Breann Standridge, both of Glenwood and Earl and Amanda Moore of Caddo Gap; her daughter, Misty Kincannon and her husband, RJ, of Pearcy; her grandchildren, Kaylynn, Seth, Landon, Rhyder, Aleyia, Donavin, Connor, Kodi, Braelyn, Rebecca, and her bonus granddaughter, Liberty; her brother and sister-in-law, John and Maria Sakellis; her sister, Demi Kapetinakis, all of Norfolk, Virginia; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home and Crematory, Glenwood.
