Colleen Crain

November 4, 1948 — January 25, 2021

Colleen Crain

Colleen Rose Crain, 72, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on January 25, 2021.  She was born November 4, 1948 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Nettie Mae (Kaufman) and the late Harold Curtis Mann.

Colleen was a strong Christian, dear friend, devoted wife, loving mother, and beloved Nana to her grandchildren.  Her faith was her foundation. Her daily scripture reading and devotionals gave her so much peace and strength through her physical and emotional challenges, and she shared that inspiration wherever she could.  She was a 1966 graduate of Central High School, where she met her husband Gary.  They were married 53 years, and the deep bond they shared was a beautiful testament of unconditional love and devotion.  She also shared a close bond with her three sisters and baby brother, and her beloved mother who she would visit every chance she could. Colleen was such a proud, loving mother to her two sons and daughter-in laws.  She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and “spoiled” them whenever she could with her generous spirit!  Colleen also had a creative spirit and was an extremely talented artist.  Her paintings expressed her joy in God’s creation, and is another way that her joy will live on in the many homes where her paintings now hang.  One of Colleen’s favorite places to be was driving with Gary, taking in the scenery, while listening to gospel music.  For all these things and so many more, Colleen will always hold a special place in the hearts of all who knew her.

Preceding Colleen in death are her father, Harold Curtis Mann; and brother, Clifford Mann.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of fifty-three years, Gary Crain; two sons:  Barry Crain and wife Leanne and Stephen Crain and wife Cora; seven grandchildren:  Tyler, Parker, Janie, Eli, Kyah, Hobbs, and Clementine; three great-grandchildren:  Savannah, Destiny, and Lakin; mother, Nettie Mae (Kaufman) Mann; sisters: Connie, Carolyn, and Cathy, and many more family members and friends who love Colleen and will miss her always.

Visitation will be held 10:00-11:00 AM, Friday, January 29 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N.
