Clyde Neal Thornberry

September 3, 1939 — November 7, 2021

 

Clyde Neal Thornberry, 82, of Benton, Arkansas passed away November 7, 2021.  He was born September 30, 1939, to the late Joe Thornberry and Ida Cox Thornberry.

Clyde owned an upholstery shop with his brother and built beautiful furniture.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and running his dogs.  He loved animals of all kinds and raised chickens.  Clyde was always active and like to keep busy.  He pastored Shiloh Community Church ten years ago.

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ida Thornberry; brothers:  Virgil, J.T., Cleo, Jessie, and Omagene Thornberry; and sisters:  Racheal Weems, Emergene Thornbery and Vera Thompson.

Clyde leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Nancy Thornberry; sons: Terry Thornberry and wife Cindy, Robert Thornberry, and Rick Ramage; daughter, Tammie Elrod and husband Wayne; grandchildren:  Jamie Thornberry, Maurice Ferguson, Brandi Tillman, Kristie Boydston and husband Zachary, Jeffrey Elrod, and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren:  Ty, Hunter, Bentley, Easton, Braxton, Aubrie, Annalynn, and Garrett; brother, Bobby Joe Thornberry and his wife Debbie; sisters, Joane Johnson and Barbara Mitchell; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will miss Clyde always.

Graveside service, officiated by Bro. Jason Keisler, will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 10 at Rosemont Cemetery, 1010 Military Road, Benton, Arkansas.  Assisting as pallbearers are Brandi Tillman, Jeffrey Elrod, Zachary Boydston, Todd Thornberry, Eric Thornberry, Bobby Ledbetter, Kenny Thompson, and Ed Thompson.
