Clyde "Junior" Gibson, 78, of Benton, Arkansas passed away May 23, 2019. He was born November 8, 1940 in Yukon, West Virginia to the late Clyde, Sr. and Ottie (Porter) Gibson.
Junior proudly served in the United States Army. He loved life and his family. Junior enjoyed hunting, fishing, and digging ginseng. He also gardened and canned his home-grown vegetables.
Preceding Junior in death are his parents and two brothers, Kinny and Don.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his three sons- Wayne Gibson and wife Karen of Benton, Arkansas, David Gibson and wife Kim of Benton, Arkansas, and Clyde "Hoot" Gibson, III and wife Rachel of West Melbourne, Florida; mother of his children, Stacey Gibson of Bauxite, Arkansas; grandchildren: Whitney Gibson, Davie Gibson, John Wayne Gibson, and Clyde Michael Gibson, IV; great-grandson, Cohen; seven brothers and sisters: Billy Ray, Evert, Dean, Eddie, Jean, Martha, and Judy; constant companion, best friend and boss of all things-Lucy; and many family members and friends who love Junior and will miss him always.
Family will hold memorial service in his hometown in West Virginia at a later date.
