Clio Townsend

Clio Jane Merideth Townsend, 80, of North Little Rock, passed away on August 29, 2015. She was born on November 15, 1934 to Shelby and Lillian Hill Merideth. Clio retired as office manager from the Scottish Rite Temple in Little Rock and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved to cook, was an avid reader and loved her family dearly.

Clio is survived by her husband of 62 years, Harvey Lynn Townsend; son, Tommy Townsend (Kari); daughter Teresa Wilkison (Donnie); grandchildren, Summer Troxclair (David), Suzannah Spratlin, Sarah Jane Snow (Matt), Ethan Spratlin, Sunny Townsend, Ashtyn Lockley and Blake Wilkison; great-grandchildren, Drake, Cole, A.J. and Ryleigh; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Anthony "Tony" Townsend; sisters, Wanda Watson, Glendene Muse and Betty Gibbons.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2015 at the Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, 758-1170. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Rest Hills Memorial Park. Online guest registry at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
