Clifton Cogburn

Clifton Cogburn age 86, of Amity, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019. He was born on November 20, 1932 in Amity, the son of Otis William Cogburn and Martha Garrett Cogburn. On December 23, 1949, he was married to Ella Faye Cantrell Cogburn who preceded him in death on August 26, 2016. He was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Eugene Cogburn and Noel Cogburn; and his sister, Margie Threet. A retired truck driver, he attended the Glenwood First Assembly of God Church. Clifton enjoyed taking care of his yard, and in earlier years, fishing and hunting. He loved being with family, especially his grandkids. He is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Wilma Null of Malvern and Reda and Leroy Cowart of Fruita, Colorado; two grandsons and their spouses, Mark and Nikki Null and Matt and Randi Cowart; five great-grandchildren, Savanna and Carson Null and Keegan, Bristol and Kynlee Cowart; his nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 14, 2019, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Leroy Cowart, Bro. David Walker and Bro. Bob Wiyott officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Coker Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt Cowart, Mark Null, Charles Spears, Kevin Evans, Raymond Whitehead and Dustin Brymer. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
