Clifford "CJ" Griffin

Clifford “CJ” Griffin, 27, of Maumelle, Arkansas passed away September 19, 2024. He was born October 2, 1996 to Ronald Griffin and Lisa Kuykendall – Griffin. LSU purple and gold ran through his blood and shined through his gleaming smile and genuine, golden heart for others. He loved his family, his girlfriend Michelle, and ‘mama’ dearly. He had a charismatic personality that constantly strived toward betterment of all. CJ graduated from Maumelle High School in 2015. He became the all-star athlete in every sport he played and, in his family, he was a shining star. Everyone is reminded of his infectious laughter, his positive outlook on life, his relentless love, and pure motives. CJ’s friends are too numerous to count. He did not go anywhere where he met a stranger.

CJ had a newfound love for running alongside his helpmate Michelle in marathons. Many know his love for all animals, especially dogs and cats. He even loved to grow and eat the hottest peppers known to mankind. There wasn't anything he set his mind to that he couldn't do well. CJ loved everyone and everyone loved him. 

CJ is survived by mother, Lisa Kuykendall-Griffin; father, Ronald Paul Griffin; brothers, Austin Gage Griffin, Brenan Paul Griffin; girlfriend, Michelle Lynn Roberson; grandmother, Constance Manzer; aunts, Carolyn Grimes, Stacy Gravett; uncles; Todd Gravett, Jay Griffin; cousins, Lindsey Allen, Cecilia Keithley, Allen Jr, Allen and Gayle Owens, Parker Gravett, Corbin Gravett; stepmom, Sheri Griffin; stepsister, Savannah Bradford; and stepbrother, Bowen Bradford. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Clifford Kuykendall; grandmothers, Billie Kuykendall and Linda Dyer, and uncle, Daron Kuykendall.

Visitation will be held from 5:00PM-7:00PM on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home (1921 Main Street). A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at the funeral home with interment following at Riverwood Memorial Gardens.
