Cleve Emmanuel Ferguson went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover Cleveland Ferguson and Ola Ester Stedman Ferguson, and one sister, Edythe Ferguson Asbell. He is survived by his wife, Janice Bell Ferguson; son, Roger Dale Ferguson of Zavalla, Texas; stepson, David Ward (Tracy); four grandchildren, Amn. Samantha Garcia of Luke AFB, Theresa Cobb, Shelly Munson Diebold and Todd Ferguson; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Cleve served in World War II in France and Germany, and in the Korean War, being honorably discharged in 1951. He retired in 1991 as superintendent of L&N Asphalt plant in Stuttgart. While living in Stuttgart, he was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Arkansas Hospital Association, and served in numerous volunteer civic activities.
Cleve was liked by everyone who really knew him. He was kind and generous, and a loving husband, father and friend. He was always looking out to help someone who had a need and he met that need to the best of his ability.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Rick Jaggars.
