Cleta C. Baratta, age 79, of Hot Springs Village, passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 2, 2019. She was born on May 18, 1940, in Amity, the daughter of Arlie Francis and Lela Buck Francis. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, John Henry Sundburg; her husband, Charles Baratta; her parents; her great-grandson, Michah McMonigal; her great-great-grandson, Kaison Binns; two brothers, Autry Francis and Manuel Lynn Francis; and five sisters, Edrese Cogburn, Artie Parrish, Audrey Barton, Joyce Francis and Ida Faye Nottingham. Cleta enjoyed sewing, reading and working in her flower gardens. She especially enjoyed going bowling and over the years was a member of several tournament bowling leagues, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Cleta will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Reta and James Garrett of Bloomsdale, Missouri and Katina and James Cobb of White Hall; five grandchildren and their spouses, Daniel James (Kelly) McMonigal, II, Chad Allen (Melissa) McMonigal, Nicole Renay Morehead, James Brandon (Katie) Davis and Katina Danielle (Chris) Vallier; sixteen great-grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Darrell and Annita Francis of Amity; her sister, Helen Neighbors of Willow Springs, North Carolina; her sister-in-law, Sonia Francis of Glenwood; her best friends, Marilyn Ziegler and Cora Cooper; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 6, 2019, in the Oak Grove Cemetery, near Alpine, with Bro. Jerry Fagan officiating. Pallbearers will be Daniel McMonigal, Joey Billips, John Garrett, Benji Francis, Bruce Francis, Doyce Cogburn and Mariah Graham. Honorary pallbearers will be her care providers, Hannah White, RN, Seleta Rich, RN, Sherry Peterson, CNA, and the staff of Kindred Hospice; her special niece who always took such good care of her, Vickie Cook; and Ryan Neighbors.
