Cleda LaFevers

Cleda LaFevers, age 89, of Rosboro, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2019. She was born on October 12, 1929 in Amity, the daughter of William C. Halcombe and Mary Lockaby Halcombe. On May 30, 1945, she was married to J T LaFevers who preceded her in death on May 8, 2018. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Timothy "Timbo" Mack; four brothers, Grover Halcombe, George Halcombe, Huey Halcombe and Millard Halcombe; and three sisters, Bertie Golden, Bertha Cox and Nadine Hixon. She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed working in the garden and quilting. She always loved being with her grandkids. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Mack; her son, Mike LaFevers, both of Rosboro; five grandchildren, David Mack, Matthew Mack, Shawn LaFevers, Elizabeth Bright and Cody Grinnis; seven great-grandchildren, Alex Mack, Andrew Mack, Justin Mack, Josh Mack, Ethan Smith, Ashley Smith and Amy Smith; her great-great-grandson, Jett Mack; and her nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 24, 2019, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. James Owens officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Coker Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Mack, Josh Mack, Matthew Mack, Andrew Mack, Justin Mack, Alex Mack, Cody Grinnis and Ethan Smith.
