Clay Junior Smith, age 83, of Amity, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021.
He was born on July 25, 1937, in Amity, the son Johnny Clay Smith and Madie Spears Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, and five siblings, Lola Mae Dollar, J. C. Smith, Aline Jenkins, Joyce Worley and Jewel Donaldson.
He was a United States Army veteran and attended the Hilltop Full Gospel Church. He enjoyed attending Gospel Music Singings, Chuck Wagon Races and especially, riding horses. He loved being with friends and family.
He is survived by four children and their spouses, Charlotte and Donald MacIntyre of Gilroy, California, Darrin and Jennifer Smith, and Devin and Christie Smith, all of Glenwood, and Dana Smith of Amity; twenty grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; his sister, Elmeda Hancock of Glenwood; and his nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 7, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Eric Wehunt and Bro. Boots Donaldson officiating.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Coker Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dean Cogburn, Stevie Kirkpatrick, Dwayne Wolfe, Ronald Jenkins, Chuck Lambert and Cheston Wehunt.
