Claudine Stephens

Claudine Wisener Stephens, born Dec. 3, 1921, died peacefully on November 28, 2010, in hospice care at Active Senior Living in Greater Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Stephens.

She is survived by her daughter Judith Stephens of Coral Gables, Florida; her son Chris Stephens of greater Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; her grandson Stephen Pruitt of Atlanta, Georgia; her granddaughter Michelle Piedmont of Woodstock, Georgia; her three great granddaughters Isabel and Cora Pruitt and Nova Simone Piedmont.

While living in De Queen, Arkansas, Mrs. Stephens was employed by International Paper Co. After moving to Arkadelphia, she worked as secretary for the Dean of Education at Henderson State University. She was a member of First Methodist Church of Arkadelphia and of the BG chapter of Arkadelphia PEO.
After living for several years at West Shores Independent Living in Hot Springs, Arkansas, she lived with her daughter Judy in Coral Gables, Florida. After three years with her daughter, she became a resident for three months in Active Senior Living in Greater Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, near her son Chris.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM Thursday, December 2nd at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home with Rev. Carroll Jackson officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 1:00 PM Thursday until service time at the funeral home.
