Claud W Smith

Claud W. Smith, age 93, went to his Heavenly Home on February 10, 2025. He was born on December 3, 1931, in Coy, Arkansas.

He spent most of his working years as a roofer, then as foreman of Beebe Cotton Gin, and later in life he worked on a ranch in Grandbury, Texas. He enjoyed playing pool in his free time with his friends at the VFW in Toneyville, Arkansas. He also enjoyed working with horses and he leaves behind his beloved animals, his horse, Rosie, and his dog, Bobby.

Claud was preceded in death by his parents, William Franklin and Rosie Nell Smith; He is also preceded in death by his siblings Kenneth, Florence, Agnes, Ruth, Katherine, Helen, and his baby sister Peggy Ann. He also outlived three wives, Lorene Williams Smith, Geneva Smith, and Donna Smith.

He is survived by his children, Jerry (Judy) Smith, of Ward, Ar; Shirlee Reeves (Mike) Burns of Sherwood, Ar, Joy Slatton of Jonesboro, Mary (Todd) Bennett of Folsom, La, Teena Smith of Fort Worth, Tx, Ashley Joann Smith of Fort Worth, Tx, Claude Wayne Smith of Lonoke, Ar, Sherry Kuebler of Maumelle, Ar, Janis Smith of St. Louis, Mo and Johnny Smith of Sherwood, Ar; stepchildren, Gary, Terri, Larry, Trina (Geneva), Sandra, Susan and Jimmy (Donna); his sisters, Lois Smith of Conway, Ar and Joyce Harris of Jacksonville, Ar; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
