Claud S. Copeland age 92 of Arkadelphia, died Sunday, January 17, 2010. He was born December 6, 1917 in Dallas County the son of the late Martin Alexander and Lula Annie Jacobs Copeland. He served in the U. S. Army in WWII with duty in the Philippines, New Guinea, Guam, and Hawaii. He was a retired farmer, retired employee of Reynolds Metals Company and a Methodist. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Charline Robbins Copeland, five brothers, and five sisters.
Survivors include one son, David Copeland and wife, Patty of Kansas City, Missouri; two daughters, Ann Reynolds; Becky Fulmer and husband, Troy all of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; a special twin sister, Clara Green of Arkadelphia. four grandchildren Stan Reynolds and wife, Denise of Westlake, Texas, Stacy Arnold and husband, Chris; Brad Fulmer and wife, Amy, all of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; Amanda Grant of Henderson, Texas; and twelve great-grandchildren, Sami Jo, Lewis, Colton, Tessa, Parker, Kaden, Maddie, Kasey, Tanner, Alex, Ethan, and Caleb. Also surviving are several of his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Thursday January 21, 2010 in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Rick Hyde officiating. Burial will be in the DeLamar Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
