Clarence G. Wieman, age 81 of Arkadelphia died Saturday, September 30, 2006 at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center, Little Rock, AR.  He was born June 14, 1925 in Little Rock,  the son of the late Clarence Gilmore and Gail Rudder Wieman.  He was a retired Project Engineer for Reynolds Metals Co., and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Arkadelphia.  He served his country in WW II in the U.S. Army Air Corps and community as an Alderman on the Arkadelphia City Council, and was a current member of the Arkadelphia Planning Commission.
 
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Sara Hearn Wieman; a son, Mark and wife Karen Wieman of Arkadelphia; a daughter, Lisa Bettis of Bentonville, AR; a sister, Elizabeth West of Carmichael, CA; 6 grandchildren, Brad and wife Beth Bettis, Thomas Bettis, Patrick Bettis, Nathan Rix, Tara Rix, and Jamie Rix; and 2 great grandchildren, Mahala Bettis, and Emma Bettis.
 
A Memorial Service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, Arkadelphia at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 3, 2006; with the Rev. Daniel Kirkpatrick officiating.  The family will receive friends in the Church Parlor following the service.  A private burial will be held.  Arrangements are under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
