Clara M. Harrington age 77 of Hot Springs, died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 in Hot Springs. She was born May 19, 1934 in Calion, Arkansas the daughter of the late T. C. and Edna Poole. Clara graduated from Norphlet High School and attended Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia. She was a member of Arkadelphia First Baptist Church.
Clara and her husband, James W. Harrington have lived in the Hot Springs area on Lake Hamilton for thirty-two years. They especially loved boating and traveling together. Other hobbies Clara enjoyed were horse racing and playing bridge.
She was preceded in death in death by one daughter, Sandra Green and one brother, Kenneth Poole.
Survivors include her husband, James W. Harrington; one daughter, Teresa Apple and husband, Scott of Houston, Texas, two step-daughters, Lori Stewart and husband, Randy of Arkadelphia, and Rhonda Harrington of Little Rock,; three grandchildren, Holly Green of El Dorado, Spenser Stewart and Jake Jones both of Arkadelphia; four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Trenton, Braydon and Hudson; and one brother, Tom Poole and wife, Ruth Ann of Houston, Texas.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, January 21st in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Arkadelphia with Dr. Lee McGlone officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 12:30 PM till service time Saturday.
